U.S. President-elect Barack Obama named the 'Person of the Year' has topped the list of 'History Makers of 2008'. TIME magazine and Live Science call him the 'Person of the year' and will tread the memory lane with his success story of 2008.

U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson, grabbed the second place as one of the most influential people that the world boasts for his recent captaincy of the 700 billion dollars government bailout of America's banks.

Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska and the Republican Vice Presidential nominee who stirred the waves with her good looks in 2008 has taken the third position. She promises to do so for the possible presidential run in 2012. Michale Phelps, the Olympic gold medalist stands fourth and T. Boone Pickens has taken the fifth place.
