Cactus
The milk which is present in cactus can now be used to kill these hairy caterpillars. When you see one or two of them on the outside wall of your home. Cut a cactus and spray the milk on the walls which seems to be damp. The kumbli poochi cannot withstand the smell of the cactus milk.
Torching
With the help of the coconut broom, carefully sweep the hairy caterpillars from the wall. Collect them together in a corner and torch them. This is one of the famous home remedies to get rid of hairy caterpillars.
Vinegar
One of the best home remedies to get rid of the hairy caterpillar is by spraying undiluted white vinegar on the caterpillars. The acid which is present in the vinegar will kill these insects immediately. This trick will also help in keeping them at bay.

To get rid of these hairy caterpillars in your home, using garlic water will help to kill these pests. Mix 50:50 portion of water and garlic in a bucket of warm water and spray it on the infected walls. You will soon start to see the caterpillars falling off the walls, shriveling up and dying.
Types of Plants
If you have certain types of plants in your garden which is acidic in nature these hairy caterpillars will not feel welcomed in your home. One of the best planst to grow during the monsoon season is onions. The kumbli poochi cannot stand the smell of onion plant and this keeps them away from your home.
Ginseng
Bitter herbal spray can be used to keep these hairy caterpillars at bay. Make a spray out of ginseng and sugar and use it as a repellent for your home. Ginseng is bitter in nature therefore helping to kill these hairy caterpillars.
Pepper
Make a mixture out of the following ingredients mixed with water and use it on the kumbli poochi to repel them. You need to use this home remedy before they multiple as it can be quite a challenge to kill them.
