Bedroom lightings play a major role in the decor of your bedroom. They can make or break your bedroom experiences. Here are some secret tips of arranging bedroom lights for all your specific needs and according to different peoples lifestyles at home.

If your partner has the habit of waking up at night for drinking water or any other reasons and he/ she wakes you up with that strong light, then introduce down lighter in your room so that the other partner will not get disturbed.

Dressing tables used for make-up will need a more specific lighting. Use two slender table lamps on the either sides of the mirror. Remember the light should not reflect on the mirror. See that light gets reflected on your face for the right image. Use track lights to highlight a dressing area or to light artwork along the walls.

Use bedside lights, which can be individually operated. This will help people who work on their assignment or read at night.

Create pools of light to reduce harsh contrasts. For charismatic look in the room add illuminating pictures.

Painting the ceilings of children's bedroom with little stars and moon with illuminating paint will create an experience of sleeping under the open sky. Paints that illuminate after the lights are switched off are widely available in the market. These paints are made of specific sand that illuminate with soft lights. Thus your child, will not to be frightened at night and at the same time will also have a vivid experience.

To save the usage of burning lights when you are not in the room, use automatic lights that get switched off when you walk out of the room and vice versa.

Avoid harsh contrasts, which can tire the eyes. Do not place the bulb at the lower level. Try placing them at a height to prevent eyes from seeing the bulb directly.

To obtain right amount of light level in the room, measure the room size in square meters. Multiply the number with 25 for incandescent lamps, 15 for halogen lamps and 19 for compact fluorescent lamps.

If the lights at the ceilings look too traditional go for hanging lights. Place them in the center of the room, so that the whole area gets the same amount of light

Candlelight is therapeutic and the most softest light. It creates a romantic atmosphere in the room. If you are using candlelight, be sure to place it away from the hanging curtains, bed sheets, linen clothes, etc. Use soy wax and non-lead wicks that will give out smoke for safe and ideal bedroom.

Do not get disturbed by the glare from streetlights, passing vehicles, or neighbor's windows. Choose opaque curtains that wont let light inside the room.

Our body is extremely sensitive to the light around us. Body gets the signal to sleep as soon as the lights are turned off. So make the best for a peaceful night after a hectic day. Give your bedroom an elegant look.
