6 Simple Tricks to Get Rid of Those Pesky Pimples on Your Back!

pimples on your back

Pimples on our back and shoulders (a.k.a back acne) are a belligerent nightmare!

And while they might not be as visible as those pesky pimples that pop up on our face, they are definitely no less painful or discomforting. Plus, they seriously restrict our wardrobe choices.

So if you have been fighting a fresh crop all over your back for quite some time now, then read on. Because in this article I am going to reveal how making 6 simple and healthy tweaks in your lifestyle can help you get rid of them fast.

#1 Don’t Repeat Clothes

Back acne is more commonly seen during summers and humid seasons because we sweat a lot during these times. That means if you are an Indian, your back acne problem can very well last for months on end!

In such a case, the simplest way to get rid of back pimples fast is by following one rule: Never repeat your shirt/top.

The reasoning behind this is simple. The sweat and dirt accumulated on your clothes are ripe grounds for bacterial growth. And repeating them simply exposes your skin to these dense microbial colonies, which leads to back acne.

The rule applies to gym clothes as well.

Note: If you do not have enough gym apparel, just remember to wash the sweaty ones under running water after every workout session to dislodge most of the sweat and dirt. They will dry up by the time you have to workout again.

#2 Change Your Bed Sheet Once Every Week

Your bed sheet may look clean even after a few weeks, but it actually isn't.

This is because your bedsheets absorb a lot of sweat and oil from your skin. Plus, the dust you see on your sheets are actually your dead skin cells.

So if you are suffering from pimples on your back, make sure you change your bedsheets every week.

#3 Clean Your Back

Do you clean your back every day when you take a bath?

If you are like most people, you probably don't. In fact, a lot of people are also known to skip soaping their legs daily (hint: men) since it requires more effort (read: bending over).

So if you are suffering from a bad case of back acne, it's time for you to buy a back-brush and start exfoliating your back with bath scrub or body wash.

#4 Use Salicylic Acid Based Soaps and Body Washes

Dermatologists most commonly prescribe salicylic acid-based face washes and soaps for regular facial acne because this medicament is a potent anti-acne agent.

So if you want to get rid of the pimples on your back, you can use the same every time you take a bath.

#5 Shower After a Workout

While most of us shower without fail after every workout session, there are some who postpone it because of work commitments and inconvenience.

Unfortunately, that's the quickest way to develop a bad batch of pimples on your back.

So if you are guilty of skipping showers after gym, please make sure to leave at least 15 minutes in your schedule for a bath.

#6 Wear Your Hair Up

Forehead acne is most commonly seen in those who leave their hair hanging over their forehead. Likewise, back acne is very commonly seen in those who have long hair.

This is because hair carries a lot of dirt and natural oil in it. Therefore, whatever it touches ends up with a thin film of these substances.

So if you have long hair and have back acne problems, the easiest way to get rid of them is by wearing your hair up in a ponytail or a bun.
