This Is Why You Must Drink Water Before Tea Or Coffee!
Not drinking water, before consuming tea or coffee can be extremely dangerous!
It is believed that at least 70% of the global adult population consumes beverages like tea and coffee on a daily basis. So, chances are that you could also be one of them, right?
Well, for most of us, drinking coffee or tea, has become more of a morning ritual.
Both coffee and tea are beverages that can give us instant energy and make us feel fresher. So, many people consume these beverages in the mornings before or after breakfast.
Some people consume coffee or tea in the evenings too, when they are feeling lethargic or just uninspired at work.
Now, we may have read from many sources that coffee and even tea come with a lot of pros and cons.
While some sources say that drinking coffee or tea on a regular basis can be harmful for health, a few other sources state that coffee and tea both have multiple health benefits.
For example, it is said that coffee can give you acidity, but it can also boost your memory.
Tea could help prevent cancer, but it can also cause dizziness and heartburn!
So, it is safe to say that although these two common beverages are healthy to some extent, overdoing them could be harmful for your health.
Now, think of the last time you had a hot cup of tea or coffee. Did you consume water before doing so? The answer is a "no" for most of us, because, we usually do not think that water needs to be consumed before drinking these beverages.
However, a new research study has said that one must always consume some water, before drinking tea or coffee. Read on to know why!

Both tea and coffee are beverages that are made from natural ingredients like tea leaves and coffee beans.
Tea and coffee contain a compound known as caffeine, although coffee contains a lot more caffeine compared to tea.
Caffeine is a compound that can boost your energy, make you more active and less lethargic.
Now, consuming too much caffeine can also have adverse health effects, including anxiety and heart ailments.
Experts say that drinking a glass of water, before consuming any of these caffeinated beverages can help dilute the concentrated caffeine content and minimise its harmful effects.
Also, coffee has a pH level of 5 and tea has a pH level of 6; the pH value of any substance indicates its acidic levels. So, both tea and coffee fall under the acidic range.
When you consume beverages with a high pH level (like tea and coffee), these create acid reflux in your stomach, leading to other ailments like heartburn, damage of the stomach walls, ulcers, colon cancer, etc.
When you drink a glass of water before tea or coffee, it can help minimise the acidic activity that takes places in your stomach, thus keeping you safe.
