Here are the causes of adenomyosis that you need to be aware of. Also, read to know the symptoms of adenomyosis.
Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus.
This condition can cause menstrual cramps, lowered abdominal pressure and bloating before periods. This can also result in heavy periods.
Adenomyosis can be located throughout the entire uterus or localized at one spot. This condition is usually not life-threatening, but the associated pain and bleeding can affect a woman's life big time.
It is often diagnosed in middle-aged women and women who have had children. Certain studies have also suggested that women who have had a prior uterine surgery may be at a higher risk of adenomyosis.
