When it comes to men, some chemicals can create some really adverse effects in the body. Some toxic chemicals can move up through the food chain.
Some chemicals that we consume can cause more harm than the food we consume. In the case of men, these chemicals can stop the healthy production of testosterone in the body.
It will affect the endocrine system in general. Some studies have also suggested a link between ingesting chemicals and low-birth rate.
Taking your family off the grid of processed foods and switching to natural and organic diet is the need of the hour. Some of the chemicals found in the processed foods are linked to hamper fertility and can affect the healthy sperm count.

1. Phthalate:
Exposure to phthalate can lead to incomplete testicular descent in foetuses. These chemicals are found in vinyl flooring, detergents, automotive plastics, soap, shampoo, deodorants, hair spray, food packaging, etc.
2. Bisphenol A:
This is a common ingredient in many plastics, including those in reusable water bottles, resins lining food cans, etc. These can change the course of foetal development in the case of women.
3. Perflurooctanoic Acid (PFOA):
This is found in grease and water-resistant coatings like teflon and Gore-tex. This is known to be a carcinogen.
4. Methoxychlor And Vinclozin:
These are insecticide and fungicide, respectively. Research has shown that these chemicals can cause changes to male mice born for as many as four subsequent generations after the initial exposure.
5. Nonylphenol Ethoxylates:
These are known to be potent endocrine disruptors that can affect the gene expression by turning on or off certain genes and interfering with the way your glandular system works.
6. Bovine Growth Hormones:
These are commonly added to commercial dairy products that are a contributor to premature adolescence. It is recommended to avoid the foods containing these substances, as they can adversely affect male fertility.
7. Asbestos:
This is a chemical that is used to insulate buildings. Men working in and around the presence of this chemical are at an increased risk of mesothelioma, cancer of the lining around the lungs. This is one of the chemicals that can harm you.
8. Fluoride:
This chemical has been linked to lower fertility rates, hormone disruption and low sperm counts. This can seriously affect male fertility.
9. Soy Products:
Excessive of soy products can affect male fertility, as these foods are loaded with hormone-like substances. Hence, it is recommended that men keep off soy products or consume them in limits.
10. MSG:
This is a food additive that is found in most of the processed foods as well as artificial foods. Consuming these can affect male fertility by all means.
