Bengaluru Witness An Increase In Dengue Cases; 1,600 Cases Reported

Monsoon is here and so are the infections. Dengue is one of the most common vector-borne diseases that soars up during monsoon.

Bengaluru alone has witnessed about 1,600 cases of dengue since January till date. Doctors and hospitals across the city are seeing an increasing number of cases of viral fever and symptomatic dengue.

Meanwhile, on the whole Karnataka has registered a total of 3,218 dengue cases since January this year till date. The concerned State authorities opined that they are taking up all the necessary steps to prevent the spreading of infection.

Dengue is a mosquito-borne disease, caused by Aedes aegypti mosquito. Fever, drop in the blood platelets and excruciating pain in the muscle and joint are few of the major symptoms of fever.

Dengue, if diagnosed early and given the necessary medical intervention quickly, then it can be it can be easily cured. But if one fails to get the required treatment on time, then dengue might turn fatal as well.

Maintaining basic hygiene, keeping the house and the surrounding areas clean and cleaning up the stagnant water around your house are few of the basic precautionary measures to prevent dengue.
