This little known condition is known to affect the lives of all office goers. This serious health condition can threaten the lives of office goers.

Gluteus medius tendinopathy, commonly known as dead butt syndrome is a risk for people who sit too long. This condition results in the gluteus muscles forgetting that they have to work at all or distribute the load to other body parts.

If you don't get up from your desk every 2 hours for 5-15 minutes, overtime your muscle tone decreases and pain begins in the waist, knees and pelvis.

The human body is a complex system that suffers as a whole, if one part of it breaks down.

The gluteus muscles serves as buffers during the movement. If they weaken, the load is distributed unevenly which may lead to serious injuries.

To find out if you have signs of this disease, you need to take a simple step. You need to rise and lift a leg. If the hip of that leg sags, then your gluteus muscles are weakened.

This condition is one of the most common causes of hip pain and inflammation. The glute med is a deep hip muscle on the lateral aspect of the hip that functions to stabilize the hip and control hip motion.
