High Salted Foods:

Thus, cutting down on salt from our end would greatly reduce the risk of cancer.

The harmful ingredients present in the carbonated beverages like the chemicals, dyes, high-fructose corn syrup (HCFS), etc., makes it a very harmful drink for our health. They not only absorb the nutrients, which we get from other foods, but also provide zero nutritional value, thus making our system weak and more prone to this dangerous disease.
Canned foods may seem to be the best alternative; but in reality, it is the most carcinogenic of all foods. Let us see how! If you think, canned foods might be carcinogenic because of its preservatives, then you've got it wrong. The real culprit is the lining material used to manufacture these cans namely bisphenol-A or BPA.
Studies have shown that BPA has the capacity to alter the gene structure which is directly linked to the cause of cancer. If the contents of the can are acidic in nature, this may easily corrode the lining, thus leading to a mixture of the food contents and BPA, which on consumption can turn highly dangerous. Instead, go for fresh foods that are highly reliable.
Well! Most of us have the wrong assumption that artificial sweeteners are as good as the regular sugar. But this is wrong! In fact these sweeteners are highly refined in nature, which leads to high sugar level in our system. This in turn leads to a nice feed for the cancerous cells. A few artificial sweeteners, which are in most common use are saccharine, aspartame, cyclamate, etc. While saccharine can cause bladder cancer, aspartame may be the cause of brain tumours.
White flour, commonly called maida, is nothing but processed product of wheat. It is processed with the help of chlorine gas because of which it gets its white colour. Because of the chlorine gas and its high glycaemic values, it can easily cause diabetes, which in turn causes the spread of cancerous cells!
Studies show that there is a strong connection between drinking of alcohol and the development of various types of cancer. Excess alcohol consumption may lead to cancers such as mouth cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, bowel cancer and throat cancer.
The ideal recommendation on the intake of alcohol by the Cancer Research UK and the American Cancer Society is not more than one drink for women and two drinks for men.
