Are you sleep deprived? Well, we know how to fix that problem! Sleep deprivation has become a major issue nowadays, and the main reason for this problem is that we lead a completely different lifestyle when compared to our ancestors.
Sleeping on time is something none of us follow these days, and going to sleep on time is another thing we often put aside.
If you think you are unable to sleep, try out some of these secrets that will help induce sleep. These home remedies or tricks are amazing, as they will naturally change your clock and help you to sleep better at night.
On the other hand, in some situations, you might have had a tiring day and would really want to hit the bed, but your brain just won't turn off.
Sometimes, it is just hard to stop thinking about stressful situations and this may further hinder the sleep quality.
So, what are you waiting for, take a look at these secrets to help you feel relaxed and make you fall asleep quickly.
Hot Showers:
When you take a hot bath, your body's temperature rises and the rapid cool-down that occurs later will help you to relax and feel cosy. You can also add a few drops of lavender oil in your bath water as well, so that it makes you feel much better.
Switch Off The Electronics:
Shut off the mobile and television if you want to sleep well tonight. The reason being, the the light hitting the retina confuses your brain into thinking it's still daytime, making you feel more alert, thus distorting your sleep time.
Set The Alarm:
Set a bed time and make sure you follow it strictly. This will help you sleep on time and, of course, make you wake up early as well.
Avoid Coffee:
Avoid drinking coffee or any drink that contains caffeine in it. If you want to drink something warm before bed, opt for a glass of warm milk or warm water.
Wear A Pair Of Socks:
Socks help to keep the feet warm at night. So, wear on a pair of old socks to make you feel cosy and lovely in bed.
No Heavy Meals:
It is best to lay off the heavy meals at night, so that you can avoid the conditions such as acid reflux and heartburn that are the two common problems that hinder sleep patterns.
Try A Breathing Technique:
If you want to try something fun after the old remedy of counting sheep, then try this breathing technique. There is a technique called 4-7-8 technique that helps you sleep faster. All you have to do is to first breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, then hold your breath for 7 seconds, and then blow the air out from your mouth for 8 seconds. You will soon fall asleep in less than 15 seconds, after repeating this method thrice.
Sip On Some Chamomile Tea:
If you are having trouble sleeping, all you need to do is to sip on a cup of chamomile tea. This tea is highly beneficial, as it relaxes the nerves and acts as a mild sedative. So, drink on for a better quality of sleep.
