Smoothies For Weight Gain


Though everybody talks about losing weight, there are so many people who are underweight. They wish to gain a few kilos to look fuller.

This is true especially for those with a a fast metabolism. Whatever they eat, doesn't show up on the body. This could make them feel depressed as an anorexic look may ruin their appearance.

Looking too thin isn't the problem but if you are seriously underweight, it is better to consult a doctor and take healthy measures to gain weight.

But wait! Don't rely on processed foods or beer to gain weight. Of course, more calories are required to make you look fuller. But at the same time, those calories need to come from healthy foods to gain weight in a healthy way. Otherwise, you may again repent later.

Well, smoothies are the easiest way as simply gulping down a liquid can get you loads of calories to make you gain weight. But this article is strictly for those who are underweight. Others, please don't try anything to gain weight as it may cause obesity later on.

Note: Choose only one smoothie per day from the below 6 options. Over consuming can cause fat accumulation. Also, consult your doctor to know whether your current health condition permits the ingredients of the below smoothies.


Tip #1

Take a glass of whole milk. Add a tablespoon of peanut butter to it. Cut a banana into pieces and add all three of them to a blender. Enjoy the smoothie once a day preferably after your workout.


Tip #2

Add a teaspoon of coconut oil to a cup of Greek yoghurt. Add avocado slices and a teaspoon of chia seeds and blend it well. Enjoy the smoothie after an evening walk.

Tip #3

Add 2 walnuts, one crushed apple and a sliced banana to a glass of milk and blend it well. Enjoy its taste!

Tip #4

Add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to a glass of milk. Add a scoop or whey protein powder. Mix a tea spoon of peanut butter too. Add a few drops of honey to the whole mixture and blend it well before enjoying it post workout.

Tip #5

Add 2 scoops of ice cream to the blender and add a sliced strawberry and 5-6 cashew nuts. Blend them well and enjoy it.


Tip #6

Mash a banana into pulp and add it to a glass of milk. Add half a cup of groundnut powder and a scoop of whey protein powder. Blend it well. You can try this as a pre-workout smoothie.

Most of these smoothies add up to your calorie consumption and can add a kilo of weight to your body in a span of 10 days if you workout regularly and consume the smoothies.
