How to Reduce Uric Acid Fast: Here Are 11 Ways
How to reduce uric acid fast.
Uric acid crystals are waste products produced by our body during purine metabolism. And they usually do not cause as much trouble as they dissolve into our blood and are quickly passed out through urine.
But that's not the case always.
If you drink very little water during the day or have foods that are rich in purines, like chicken liver, beans, and beer, your body usually finds it difficult to clear out the uric acid crystals produced during the day. And when that happens, these crystals quickly go and settle in your joint spaces where they cause inflammation and gout.
So if you have observed some creakiness in your joints or are worried because you eat too much red meat, then read on because in this article we are going to discuss how to reduce uric acid fast through various means right from home.
#1 Increase your vitamin C intake.
Vitamin C helps uric acid crystals dissolve into your bloodstream. Therefore, the more vitamin C you have, the easier it will be for your body to get rid of this waste product!
#2 Cherries
Cherries contain anthocyanins in them that have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. That's why increasing your intake of cherries can definitely help prevent gout.
#3 Milk Products
Milk and its products, like curd, are known to reduce your serum uric acid levels. So having more of this is definitely beneficial if you have inflamed and painful joints.
#4 Have french bean juice.
French beans juice may taste disgusting, but it is a potent natural remedy for regulating your serum uric acid levels.
#5 Celery Seeds
Celery seeds are a commonly used natural treatment for gout. But if you want to see the best results, you should have celery-seed extract instead as it has all the medicinal compounds in their concentrated forms.
#6 Apple Cider Vinegar
The principle behind this is the same as point #1: Have more vitamin C. But for best results dilute 2 - 3 spoonfuls of it in a glass of water and then drink it twice or thrice a day.
And since drinking apple cider vinegar in water is a truly dreadful experience, try doing this when you are truly sure that you have gout or high uric acid levels in your blood.
#7 Pinto Beans
All beans and legumes are rich in folic acid, which is known to reduce serum uric acid levels. So if you have inflamed joints, try increasing your intake of these vegetables.
#8 Drink lots of water.
As mentioned in the introduction, drinking too little water thickens up your blood and thus hampers the excretion of toxic wastes from your body, like uric acid. So if you have high uric acids levels, just up your water intake to 2 - 3 liters a day, and you will start noticing a distinct difference in a few days time.
#9 Strawberries
Strawberries may not be as sour as some other berries, but they are great at combating gout.
#10 Blueberries
The same applies to blueberries. In fact, all sour berries are really good for your health and for flushing out uric acid from your blood and body.
#11 Boiled Potatoes and Corn
Boiled potatoes and corn are starchy. And therefore, great at reducing your uric acid levels.
