Never Eat/Drink These Before Exercising!!

Posted By:

You have promised yourself that you will achieve your fitness goals by the end of the year and so you have started on a strict workout regime.

Every day, before you start your workout, you wonder what you should eat, in order to build stamina to perform the exercises.

If this is a dilemma you go through, then you must try to make yourself aware about the do's and don'ts of a pre-workout diet, especially if you are a beginner!

When you are following a regular fitness routine, it is extremely important to couple it with a proper diet, only then you'll be able to see good results.

Even if you exercise all day long and do not eat right, your fitness goals may never be achieved!

Also, exercising regularly means that your body is losing a lot more calories and electrolytes, so one must ensure that they are taking in the right kind of nutrients before a workout session.

Therefore, have a look at what you should never eat/drink before exercising.

1. Leafy Greens

Due to the high fibre content, consuming leafy greens before your workout can lead to gas and bloating of the stomach during the workout, making the experience harder for you!

2. Oily Foods

Consumption of oily foods can create instant indigestion and acidity in some people, which may prevent them from completing the workout session.

3. Bread

Any kinds of bread and other foods that are high in carbohydrate content can also cause bloating while exercising, as they take a longer time to be digested.

4. Nuts

Although nuts are otherwise very healthy, when consumed right before exercising, they can also lead to gas and bloating.

5. Spicy Foods

The fast-paced movements you do with your body while working out can lead to a heart-burn or an acid reflux if you consume spicy foods just before a workout session!

6. Junk Foods

Foods that are high in sugar and fat content can slow you down while you are exercising and may hinder your weight loss progress.

7. Sports Drinks

Although people believe that sports drinks increase stamina for a good workout, most of these drinks are usually high in sugar content and can make you unhealthy. So, you can opt for natural alternatives like fresh fruit juices instead.
