Low Carb Vegan Diet Foods To Stay Healthy
If you are a vegan eater, then following a strict vegan diet is a must to stay healthy. Foods which are low carb for a vegan diet and rich in calcium are kale, roasted sesame seeds, artichoke, soybeans etc. Vegan eaters can also eat a lot of tofu which is one of the world's healthiest foods.
Vitamin D
You need Vitamin D in your body as it helps to play a major role in bone health. Vitamin D for a low carb vegan diet eater can be foods like that of white buttoned mushrooms. When the mushroom is cooked lightly it provide the most amount of Vitamin D with 27.0IU. Another type of mushroom called shittake are also high in Vitamin D.
Iron
Iron is very important for the production of red blood cells in your body. In a low carb vegan diet, you need to have foods which is high in iron. It is important since you are not consuming non-vegetarian foods to get a rich source of iron. If you are on a low carb vegan diet, here are some of the foods which should be added to your diet on a daily basis. Food like - pulses, leafy vegetables, like broccoli and lady fingers and all types of nuts are healthy.
Vitamin B12
For a vegan eater, the body needs a good amount of Vitamin B12 to maintain healthy flow of blood in the body and to regulate a balanced nervous system. Vitamin B12 which is found naturally in foods from animal sources are not eaten by vegan eaters. Therefore , for a low carb vegan diet, a food that is rich in Vitamin B12 is Marmite, a kind of yeast.
Omega – 3 fatty acids
One of the most important foods which is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids is fish. Unfortunately, vegan eaters stay away from fish. So, foods like linseed, walnut oil and rapeseed oil are healthy. You can switch your cooking oil with these oils to get a certain amount of Omega-3 fatty acids.
