Wheat Pasta Recipe For Breakfast

Many would say that pasta is an evening snack, but in this fast paced world we live in, pasta is also considered to be a healthy breakfast meal. This desi style wheat pasta recipe is one of a kind because it does not consist of one of the main ingredients which pasta normally has, which is melted cheese.

This Desi/Indian wheat pasta is spicy, has good amount of Indian spices and indeed has a lot of other Indian ingredients which makes the dish complete. The Desi/ Indian wheat pasta recipe is not time consuming and this Desi pasta recipe can be made to cater to any age as well.

Wheat Pasta Recipe For Breakfast

Serves - 2
Preparation time - 20 minutes
Cooking time - 25 minutes

Ingredients

Wheat Pasta - 11/2 cup
Water - 3 cups
Onions - ¼ cup (chopped)
Tomatoes- ¼ cup (chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Green chilly- 1 (chopped)
Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Garam masala - ¼ tbsp
Maida - 1 tbsp
Milk - 3 tbsp
Oil- 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Procedure

  1. Take a deep pan and add the three cups of water to bring it to a boil.
  2. When the water is boiled, add in the pasta and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  3. When cooked, drain the water out completely and keep it aside.
  4. In another pan heat a tablespoon of oil.
  5. Now saute the onions and green chilly till they turn into a golden brown.
  6. Next add in the ginger garlic paste to the above ingredients.
  7. Add in the chopped tomatoes to the pan and saute the mixture.
  8. Add the flour and cook on a medium flame for three minutes.
  9. Now add in the milk, chilly powder, garam masala and a little salt to taste.
  10. Mix the ingredients together and then add in the pasta.
  11. When cooked, toss everything together and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

Your Indian Wheat pasta is now ready to eat. You can chose to have your Indian pasta with a dash of tomato sauce or red chilli sauce.
