Whiskey is good as it contains good cholesterol and stops blood vessels from clotting in the body. It also cures cold and cough, a common winter health ailment.

Whiskey sour cocktail recipe:

Serves: 1

Preparation time: 2 minutes

Ingredients

  • Whiskey- ½ of a cocktail glass
  • Sugar syrup- 2tsp
  • Lemon juice- 2tsp
  • Ice cubes- a few
  • Cherry- for garnishing

Procedure

  • In an ice shaker, mix whiskey with lemon juice and sugar syrup.
  • Break the ice cubes into medium size pieces.
  • Now add the ice cubes in the ice shaker and mix all the ingredients together.
  • Pour the cocktail in a glass.

Garnish the sour whiskey cocktail with cherries. Serve it chilled.

Whiskey with orange and lemon cocktail recipe:

Serves: 1

Preparation time: 2 minutes

Ingredients

  • Whiskey- ½ of a cocktail glass (1 ½ oz)
  • Orange juice- ½ of a cocktail glass (1 ½ oz)
  • Lemon juice- 1tsp
  • Ice cubes- a few
  • Sugar syrup- 1tsp
  • Mint leaves- for garnishing

Procedure

  • Mix whiskey with orange juice, sugar syrup and lemon juice in an ice shaker.
  • In a cocktail glass, add the ice cubes and then pour the cocktail.

Garnish the whiskey and orange juice cocktail with lemon and mint leaves. Serve the sweet and sour cocktail chilled to fight winter cold.
