  • Ginger - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1 (sliced)
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring
  • Coriander leaves - 2 spring (chopped)
  • Water - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

Procedure

  1. In a bowl, drop in the maida, semolinai, rice flour, salt. To this, drizzle a little oil to bowl and crumble them using your hands.
  2. Mix the ingredients well together, which is in the bowl.
  3. To the mixture, add in the chopped onion, sliced green chilli, curry leaves, coriander leaves, ginger and mix the ingredients well.
  4. Now to this mixture, add in a little water and make the ingredients into a stiff dough.
  5. After this, keep the dough to a side for about 15 minutes. You will also see the onions leaching out a little water. The dough now will become a little softer to knead.
  6. When done, divide the dough into equal proportions to make small balls. Now flatten the balls using your hands and set it aside.
  7. In a deep pan, heat oil on a medium flame. When the oil is hot, gently place the flatten dough into the hot oil for frying.
  8. You need to fry the dough till it turns a golden brown in colour.
  9. When done, place the hot maddur vada on a blotting paper which will help to absorb the excess oil after frying.

Your maddur vada is now ready. Make sure that you have a lovely and yummy breakfast treat, this morning.
