Home Remedies For Soft, Itch-Free, Well-Groomed Beard!
There is something irresistible about men with thick beards. It oozes masculinity, adds a sense of ruggedness to the overall appeal and pumps up self-esteem like no other.
And if statistic is anything to go by, men with beard are considered 53% more attractive than men with a clean shaven look. With so many reasons, it is no wonder that the beard has become a strong style statement today.

However, that glorious mass of manliness does come with its fair share of problems, namely itchiness! Believe it or not, the first week of a growing beard itches enough to drive a man to the brink. And it only grows worse with every inch, added to the scruff, which can take about 3 weeks to subside.
So, why exactly does the beard itch so much? Facial hair makes your skin excessively dry attracting dust, which leads to itchiness. Other than that, razors leave your beard with sharp ends, which irritate the skin as the hair grows.

If you want a full bodied soft beard minus the skin irritation and maddening itchiness, listed here are a few handy tips that just might do the trick for you!
Cleanse and Condition
The first rule to growing a beard is keeping it clean. And when we say keeping it clean, we do not mean with those toxic shampoos, which will only serve to dry your skin out. Use a mild cleanser instead, and follow it up with intense conditioners to soften the rough ends of your beard.
Shea Butter
The main culprit behind an itchy beard is dry skin. Shea butter is a major carrier of powerful antioxidants like vitamins A and C and catechins that protect the skin against free radicals, while keeping it soft and well groomed. Melt organic shea butter into liquid consistency, and massage it onto your skin. Do it regularly to keep the skin well-hydrated and prevent itchiness.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a strong source of enzymes that removes dead skin cells and promotes healthy growth. Take pure aloe vera gel in a bowl, dip a cotton ball into the gel and apply it liberally throughout your face and neck. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it clean with cold water.
Sandalwood
It does not just act as a powerful fragrance, but also helps relieve the skin's itchiness and retain its natural oil balance. Make a thick paste of 1 teaspoon sandalwood powder with half a tablespoon of raw milk. Apply a thin coating of the paste to the facial hair and skin around your neck. Let it dry, before scrubbing it clean with cold water.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has natural antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which remove dead skin cells, unclog pores and stimulate hair growth. Take a few drops of tea tree oil in your palm and rub it through your fingers. Run your fingers through your beard, starting from the base of your neck moving upwards to your cheeks.

To keep your beard free of infection and flaky skin, massage your skin with a few drops of organic neem oil before hitting the bed. In the morning, you will notice your beard visibly soft and skin supple.
