Shaving Makes The Hair Thicker

This is one of the many myths we should get rid of immediately. Shaving does not make the hair growth thicker. Truth be told, when you shave, the blunt edges of the hair regrow giving you an appearance of thicker and coarse hair.


Exfoliating Can Slow Hair Growth

If you want to get rid of body hair, you either wax or shave it. One can't get rid of body hair through exfoliating. Exfoliating the surface of the skin is not going to change the metabolism of the follicle underneath the skin.


Dry-brushing Eluminates Cellulite

If you've been dry brushing all these years in trying to get rid of cellulite, you've been wasting your time. Dry brushing does not get rid of the problem, there are other home remedies which help to smoothen your skin and eventually treat cellulite.


The Higher The SPF, The Better The Protection

Sunscreen lotions offers you protection from UVA and UVB rays, so this does not mean that the more application coats you apply will make a difference. The sunscreen lotion you use should have an SPF of 15 at least.


You Don't Need Sunscreen For A Cloudy Day

It is important to apply sunscreen even on a cloudy day as UV radiation from the sun still reaches the earth's surface. It is necessary you apply the lotion before swimming and even on a regular basis.


Expensive Skin Care Products Work Best

No doubt expensive skin care products are gentle on the face, but it doesn't hold true that only the expensive products work best. This is one of the many myths we need to stop believing in.


Sunscreen Is Only For Certain Types

No matter what complexion you have, it is recommended that every type of skin needs sunscreen, a layer of protection from the sun.


Squeezing Pimples Will Heal Acne

Did you ever notice this - the moment you pop a pimple another one comes up! The reason being, the infection from the zit gets transferred to a new part and thus creates another pimple. This is why squeezing pimples to heal is just a myth.
