Gel, Pencil, Or Liquid, Which Eyeliner Should You Go For?
There are way too many options to choose from, be it gel, liquid or pencil, so which eyeliner is best for you?
There are so many options out there in the world of makeup these days, it can be really confusing to make a pick. So, which out of the different types of eyeliners should you go for? To know which is the best type of eyeliner to choose from, read along.
Earlier, it used to be a pick between only pencil liners and liquid liners. So, let us help you out in picking which ones are the best suited for you. Apart from these, there are also felt-tip liners. And of course, they all come in various different finishes and types, depending on what kind of a look you have in mind.
So, here's some information on all the different types of eyeliners that are available and the ones you should go for according to your skin type or the kind of look you are aiming at!
1. Pencil:
The quintessential kohl or kajal liner that we all started out in the world of makeup with! This will give you softer application than any other type. If you are a beginner in the world of makeup, this is your pick. It is better to go for the roller variant as opposed to a pencil that needs sharpening, because they are a lot easier to work with.
2. Liquid:
Love cat eyes and wings on your eyes? Then, look no further. All it takes is a little bit of time and practice to be able to use the brushes on this, as your application needs to be precise with these. But, these will provide you with the sharpest application with the best pigmentation. Not to mention that the waterproof ones last all day.
3. Gel:
These seem to be like a cross between liquid and pencil, with a deeper level of pigmentation than that of the pencil liners. They come in little pots with a brush and are definitely easier to use than liquid liners. Seriously, even beginners can use this. One thing you might want to be aware of is that these might not suit people with oily lids, as it can smudge around a lot and look messy.
4. Felt Tip:
These look like markers and help you draw the lines on your eyelids with ease and precision. If you want to make super-perfect wings on your eyes, then go for this type of an eyeliner, that is if you're not comfortable with using liquid liners yet. The tips of these can dry out quite easily though.
