DIY Papaya Hair Masks For Long And Strong Hair

Yep, you read that right. Nature is a powerhouse of incredible ingredients that can make a world of difference to your dry and damaged hair. Especially, fruits like papaya have been an absolute favourite of women with long and strong hair.

That is because papaya contains an enzyme that goes by the name papain. This enzyme can have a life-changing impact on your tresses, by making the hair follicles strong and promoting hair growth.

So, today, we've compiled a list of papaya hair masks that you can prepare yourself to get the kind of hair you've always yearned for. Take a look at these DIY papaya hair masks.

1. Papaya And Yogurt Hair Mask
This stellar combination can work like a charm on dry, brittle hair and also provide relief to itchy scalp.

Mash a handful of peeled papaya pieces and add 2 tablespoons of fresh yogurt to it. Stir the ingredients well together to form a smooth paste. Then, gently apply the pack all your scalp and tresses. Wrap your head with a clean cloth and let the pack get absorbed for an hour, before washing it off with a mild shampoo and conditioner.

2. Papaya, Coconut Milk And Honey Hair Mask
The qualities of all three aforementioned ingredients can make your hair problems a thing of the past. Apply it once a week to strengthen the hair roots and prevent breakage.

Take 3 tablespoons of mashed papaya and mix 1 tablespoon of each, coconut milk and honey to it. Mix it well and apply the pack. Let it sit for an hour or so, before thoroughly cleansing it with a shampoo, and follow up by properly conditioning your hair.

3. Papaya, Olive Oil And Honey Hair Mask
The goodness of all these ingredients combined together in this DIY papaya mask can make your hair turn lustrous and also promote hair growth.

In a bowl, mix 3-4 tablespoons of mashed papaya with 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and 1 teaspoon of raw honey. Apply the paste on your scalp and on the strands. Cover your head with a shower cap and keep the pack on for at least 45 minutes. Then, wash it away with a light shampoo and conditioner.

4. Papaya, Banana And Honey Hair Mask
Now, this is one hair mask that can do way more than just make your hair strong and add extra shine to it. It can also make your hair naturally straight.

Mash a ripe banana and add 7-8 peeled mashed pieces of a papaya. Then, add 1 tablespoon of organic honey to the blend. Mix them all together. Then, gently apply this papaya hair mask on your scalp and all over your tresses. Leave it on for 2-3 hours, before washing it off with a mild shampoo and conditioner.

5. Papaya, Lemon Juice And Honey Hair Mask
Once in a week, apply this DIY papaya hair mask to treat itchy scalp and fight off dandruff.

Peel the skin off and then crush 8-9 pieces of a ripe papaya. Add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of organic honey to the mix. Gently massage the mix on to your scalp and apply it all over the strands too. Cover it up and let the mask sit for an hour, before thoroughly washing it off.
