Vitamin B complex: Vitamin B complex helps the hemoglobin to supply oxygen to the scalp and hair follicles which promotes hair growth. Lack of vitamin B complex can lead to weak and damaged hair. It can be found in tuna, chicken and salmon.Zinc: Hair loss and dandruff is linked with zinc deficiency. Zinc promotes tissue growth and repair. Zinc also helps to maintain the oil secreting glands there by preventing dry scalp and dandruff. Foods like meat, lentils, nuts and whole grains provide good amount zinc to hair.
Copper: Copper assists in the formation of new hemoglobin and hemoglobin is necessary for hair growth. Good sources of copper include soya, seesame seeds, nuts, whole grains, lentils and meat.
Vitamin C: Eating foods that are rich in vitamin C avoids split ends and brittle hair. Include fruits like oranges, lemons, berries, watermelons and tomatoes in your diet to get healthy hair.
Iron: Lack of iron in the body leads to hair breakage. Deficiency of iron leads to hairloss. In order to avoid it, should include foods that are rich in iron content such as chicken,meat,eggs,fish, spinach and soybeans.
