Stretch marks are streaks or narrow lines that develop on your skin because of weight gain, loss or pregnancy. Stretch marks may occur at any part of the body, but mostly on the belly and thigh areas.
There are a plethora of surgical methods that can be used to get rid of stretch marks. But none of them are free of side effects. Also, going for any of those cosmetic procedures can surely burn a hole in your wallet.
Fortunately, there are tons of other alternatives using natural ingredients that you can use for making the stretch marks less noticeable. One such ingredient that has been known for its effectiveness is coconut oil.
Coconut oil is a quick-absorbing oil that is replete with saturated fats and skin-boosting compounds which can work wonders on your stretch marks problem.
Especially, when coconut oil is used in combination with any other natural ingredient, its effectiveness tends to increase. And thankfully, there are various ways in which you can use coconut oil for stretch marks.

1. Directly Apply Coconut Oil On The Affected Area
Just warm a tablespoon of coconut oil in a microwave and gently massage it onto the troubling areas. This at-home treatment can effectively reduce the prominence of stretch marks. Try using coconut oil in this way at least twice a day to get best results.
2. Use Coconut Oil With Olive Oil
Take a tablespoon of each, coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil, and mix them together. Warm the concoction in a microwave. Then slather it all over the areas where you have stretch marks. Massage in circular motions and leave it on overnight. In the morning, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
3. Use Coconut Oil With Cocoa Butter
Take a teaspoon of cocoa butter and mix it with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Slather the mix onto the areas where you have stretch marks and massage for at least 10 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water. Repeat this age-old treatment at least 3 times a week for desired results.
4. Use Coconut Oil With Aloe Vera Gel
Scoop out 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and mix it with a tablespoon of coconut oil. Gently massage the troubling areas with this homemade mix. Allow it to stay on your skin for the next hour before wiping it off with a wet washcloth. This method can be tried on a daily basis to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
5. Use Coconut Oil With Castor Oil
Another effective way of using coconut oil for stretch marks is by mixing it with castor oil. Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and mix it with a teaspoon of castor oil. Gently massage the mix all over the stretch marks and leave it on for a good 20 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
6. Use Coconut Oil With Coffee
Take a teaspoon of coffee grinds and mix it with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Then, gently massage the prepared concoction onto the areas where you have stretch marks. Massage in circular motions for 5-10 minutes. Try this remedy at least 3-4 times a week for visible results.
7. Use Coconut Oil With Turmeric Powder
This is another excellent way to use coconut oil for banishing stretch marks. Take a teaspoon of turmeric powder and mix it with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Gently massage this homemade mix onto the areas where you have prominent stretch marks. Wash off after 20 minutes with lukewarm water.
8. Use Coconut Oil With Vitamin E Oil
Extract oil from 3-4 vitamin E capsules and mix it with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Firmly apply the mix onto the stretch marks and massage in a circular motion for at least 10 minutes. Let the mix stay on your skin for another half an hour before cleaning with cold water.
9. Use Coconut Oil With Almond Oil
This is the last effective way to use coconut oil for reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Take a teaspoon of almond oil and mix it with a tablespoon of coconut oil. Warm the concoction in a microwave. Use it to massage the affected area. Repeat this treatment at least 4 times in a week for great results.
