By: Asha Das

No matter how hard you try to look stunning with branded clothes and professional makeup, your untreated nails will spoil all the image.

Beautiful and healthy nails are signs of your well-being and hygiene. While you have to concentrate more on the nutritious side to make your nails healthy, you have wider choices to make your nails beautiful.

Having a manicure will make your nails look neatly groomed. Many women, especially working women, will find it difficult to spare some time in a salon to get a professional manicure. Home trials are the best options for them.

Hands are the first place where the signs of ageing start to appear. So, it is good to treat them well. Putting in some creativity will do lot more than highlighting them with just nail colours.

Here, we will give you some manicure tips that will work wonders on your nails. Have a look at these manicure tips to remember always.

Use A Foil

You can use this to remove tough gel polish and normal polish. Soak a cotton pad in nail polish remover, place it on the nail, and wrap it with a foil. Nail polish can be removed easily within 10 minutes and you don't even have to rub it.

Toothpaste For Dark Polish

Using dark nail polish is appealing, but it will spoil your nail with discolouration. Apply white toothpaste on your nails and rub gently. Wash your nails after one minute and see the magic. This is one of the manicure tips to always remember.

Trick With Petroleum Jelly

Nobody wants a polish-stained finger. You can remove this easily by applying some petroleum jelly on the cuticle and skin around the nail. Use a cuticle stick to remove the stains. This will give a good finishing to your manicure.

Treat Fractured Nails

Fractured nail is common while doing a manicure, especially if you handle it harshly. To treat this, apply some white glue on a tissue paper and keep this on the area. File this nicely when it dries. Apply more glue and file again after it dries completely. Apply a primer and then nail polish. Ta da!! It's done!

For Ombré Nails

Fashionable ombré nails are now made easy to try without many different shades of nail polishes. Just take five equal drops of dark colour. Serially dilute it with increasing amount of light colour. You will get colours ranging from dark to light.

Cold Water Technique

If you want to keep your nail polish to last for a longer time, air-dry your nails for two minutes after applying the polish and keep in cold water for three minutes. This will keep the polish fixed well onto your nails.
