Unsightly, wiry hair sprouting out of the chin and upper lips in women is not unheard of, but nipple hair? It is more common than you think. A recent report suggests that more than 30% of the female population has hair around their areola.
It is nothing more than two or three fine strands, unlike the thick mop of hair seen growing around men's chest and it can be treated.
So, why is there a sudden hair growth around the nipples? It all boils down to hormone surges. Hormones or more specifically, hormones called 'testosterones' in women keep fluctuating throughout their lives.
Sudden surges in hormone production during puberty, pregnancy and in certain cases during menstruation are known to cause hair to grow in unwanted places, like around the nipple.
More often than not, the condition is temporary and can be easily treated. Start off by getting your hormones tested to determine the cause.
Plucking hair with tweezers is not recommended, as it can cause the hair to grow back thicker and can also lead to ingrowth or infection. Instead, try these tested natural remedies which can reduce and prevent hair growth around the nipples overtime.
Melt a spoonful of brown sugar at a high temperature and apply the sticky liquid when cool around the nipple. Press a thin sheet of cotton over the nipple, press it and pull it off in a quick sure stroke. It will remove the fine strands, without any possibility of ingrowth.
Aloe Vera Wax
Mix a cup of freshly squeezed aloe vera gel to your regular wax. You can also grind the skin of aloe vera and add it to your wax. The soothing aloe vera gel will help to remove unwanted hair from the sensitive spots around the nipple without causing any inflammation.
