Easy Ways To Remove Mehendi At Home

Mehendi on the hands is one of the best sights which we're sure most girls would love to keep admiring.

Decorating the hands with Mehendi is what every bride and girl dream about. Wow! Everything looks so great with your hands decorated with deep brown colour Mehendi, isn't it?

But, once the Mehendi starts fading, we know how awful it can look and feel like we're suffering from a skin disease or something.

Sometimes, you will see the skin starting to peel off as well along with the Mehendi. Although the henna colour is not a permanent one, it takes lot of time to fade away completely.

1. Antibacterial Soap

Using an antibacterial soap is an easy method to remove Mehendi. Using soap will not help to fade the colour overnight, but you will see the results in a few days. Wash your hands nicely with an antibacterial soap in every hour, which means you should be washing your hands for at least 15-17 times in a day. Antibacterial soaps are slightly harsh and hence they erode the colour from the hands easily.


2. Salt Water

The saltwater soak is one among the easy and quick tips to remove Heena colour from hands. Take one bowl and fill it with lukewarm water. Then, add some salt in this water and allow it to dissolve completely. Now, soak your hands in this water for approximately 20-30 minutes. Because salt is a powerful cleanser, it helps fade away the Heena colour from the hands easily.


3. Use A Scrub

Using a scrub helps to clean your hands and fade away the Mehendi marks effortlessly. Scrub your hands with a good exfoliating scrub for 2-3 minutes in every two hours. The hard beads present in the scrub will help remove the henna colour easily and quite quickly as well.


4. Olive Oil

Olive oil, often termed as the mother of all oils, can also assist in removing Mehendi easily. Take some olive oil and heat it for some time. Now, add some salt to it and dip your hands in this solution for 2-3 minutes after it has cooled a bit. Wash off with normal water and pat dry. The combination of olive oil and salt helps to speed up the chlorination process, thus removing the colour easily.


5. Bleach It

Using a good quality bleach can help to fade away the Mehendi colour easily. Take some bleach and apply it on to your hands. Allow the bleach to dry and wash it off with cold water. Let the hand stay under running water for some time, so that bleach does not lead to any reaction. Make sure you test the bleach on a small patch of skin before applying it.


6. Lemon And Baking Soda

Take some baking soda and add some lemon into it. Make a thick paste and apply it on to your hands directly. Apply the paste and wait for 10-15 minutes. Massage in a circular motion and wash it off with cold water soon. Make sure you don't keep baking soda on your skin for too long, as it may affect the skin.


7. Warm Water

Using warm water is an excellent option to treat your hand and remove the Mehendi marks quickly. Dip your hands in warm water for 15-20 minutes and rub with the help of a loofah. This procedure will help to remove the henna stains quickly.


8. Toothpaste

Using a toothpaste can help to remove Mehendi colour in a jiffy. Take some generous amount of toothpaste and rub it on your hands. Now, rub your hands against each other and allow it to dry. Repeat doing this process for 2-3 times in a day. Using a toothpaste, remove the Mehendi, which is quite a simple, inexpensive and simple remedy.


9. Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is a benign solution that can be used to remove the Mehendi stains easily. Take a cotton swab and soak it in Hydrogen peroxide. Now, apply this on your Mehendi and allow it to dry. Wait for some time and wash it off with cold water. Repeat doing this 2 times in a day. Hydrogen peroxide is easily found in local stores.


10. Chlorine

Love swimming? Then, this is surely for you. You can get rid of the Mehendi stains by soaking your hands in Chlorine water. Take some Chlorine and add it to water. Soak your hands for 20 minutes and you will observe the Mehendi marks getting lighter.
