Easy Steps To Do Pedicure At Home
Every woman likes to be pampered once in a while. Facials, hair spas, body massage and hair cuts are a few of the relaxation techniques many women opt for in beauty parlours and spa centres. If men chill out with a few drinks and close buddies, women let down the stress of the week by a trip to the parlour for a session of pampering.
Nowadays there are a lot of packages that parlours are offering to customers, which enables them to enjoy a series of beauty treatments at low prices. If in the past it were the women who flocked to parlours for beauty treatments, today the men too are striving not to be outdone. There are separate treatments and massages available for men and women.
EASY STEPS TO DO THREADING AT HOME
Among the various beauty treatments available today the one that enables the most relaxation are pedicures and manicures. You can sit back and relax while others clean and massage your feet and moisturize it. Later they shape your nails and will also apply polish if required.
But, if you cannot go to a parlour or are pressed for time, there are many easy steps for pedicure at home. Here are a few tricks and techniques for doing pedicure at home.
Proper equipment
The first among steps for pedicure at home are collecting the proper equipment for it. You will need a small tub for soaking your feet, a couple of nail clippers, files, pumice stone, cuticle stick and nail polish.
Remover time
Steps for pedicure at home starts with removing any old nail polish from your nails. Never be too lazy to do this step since it is difficult and will not give good finish if you apply new polish over the old.
Soak your feet
Fill a small tub with warm water. You can also add bath salts or oils if you wish. Now you sit back and relax while your feet soak for about 10 minutes in this. This is the most important among steps for pedicure at home.
Prepare the nails
Take your feet out of the water and while the nails are still wet, clip your toe nails in a square shape so that a little white nail shows at the top. This is perhaps the trickiest step for pedicure at home.
Take care of cuticles
Once your nails are clipped it is time to take care of your cuticles. Pedicure at home requires a cuticle stick, which can be used to gently push back the cuticles or gently cut away the excess skin.
Pumice time
At this part of pedicure at home, you finally start on your foot. Take out your pumice stone and rub away the dead skin cells on the underside of your feet. Later, use a scrubbing brush to clean up your foot.
Dry your feet
Wash your feet in warm water and pat dry. You are now nearing the end of your pedicure at home. Remember not to leave your feet in water for too long since this can cause wrinkles.
Apply polish
Once your feet are dry it is time to apply nail polish. For pedicure at home, begin with a clear base coat, so that the polish does not yellow your nails. Then apply the colour of your choice.
