The palace gates are reopening. Prime Video and host Karan Johar have officially unveiled the full 21-member cast for The Traitors Season 2, the Hindi-language adaptation of the globally popular Dutch format. The show returns on August 13, 2026, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
This season's lineup mixes Bollywood names, television veterans, YouTubers, a rapper, a mentalist, and even a real-life private investigator - a combination clearly designed to make the game of spotting liars even harder than before.
What Is The Traitors?
For anyone new to the format: a small group of contestants is secretly named "Traitors" at the start of the game, while everyone else plays as "Faithfuls" (also called Innocents). Each night, the Traitors quietly eliminate one player. Each day, the full group debates and votes to banish someone they suspect is a Traitor. If the Faithfuls manage to banish every Traitor, they split the prize pot; if even one Traitor survives to the end, that person can walk away with the entire prize.
Season 1 was won by Uorfi Javed and poker player Nikita Luther, who successfully exposed the last remaining Traitor, comedian Harsh Gujral, and split a prize pot of roughly Rs 70.5 lakh.

A Few Storylines to Watch
- Real-life expertise vs. game strategy: Having an actual private detective (Tanya Puri) and a mentalist (Karan Singh) in the mix adds a layer no previous season has had - will professional instincts translate into catching Traitors?
- Second chances: Sahil Salathia is back after a first-night exit last season, giving him a rare do-over.
- Reality show veterans: Munawar Faruqui, Shweta Tiwari, and Soundous Moufakir all bring past competition experience, which could make them either strong strategists or early targets.
- Fresh faces: Several contestants, including Prish, Ansh Chopra, and Rida Tharana, are stepping into a competitive reality format for the first time.
