The Master was very fond of Keshab Sen. When Keshab died at the age of 45, the Master wept and remained in bed for three days covering himself with a chadar. He said, 'My brain is boiling like hot water.' When Keshab's son visited Dakshineswar, the Master embraced him and wept. When our dearest one dies we cry, and so did the Master. M. said:
'When the news of Adhar Sen's death reached the Master, I was in his room. He immediately went into samadhi. Regaining normal consciousness, he wept and said to the Divine Mother: "Mother, you asked me to stay in the world with the devotees, cherishing devotion. Now look, how much pain I have."
