The Prophecy Of The Blood Moon

The Blood Moon Prophecy, a concept made popular by Mark Blitz and John Hagee, both Christian Pastors, is understood to signify the end of ages. The concept, according to Biblical prophecy, spells the descent of doom and tragedy on humankind.

How far this is considered to be true isn't quite known. The Blood Moon finds its relevance to the lunar tetrad - a series of four total lunar eclipses, separated from each other by six lunar months. These four total eclipses happen one after the other with no partial eclipse occurring in between them, a rare event going on to signify something impending.

The Prophecy Of The Blood Moon

The first Blood Moon happened on the night of April 14-15. The next is due to happen on the night of October 7-8. The term Blood Moon first saw its usage in religion. It is believed that the occurrence of such an event is going to indicate the beginning of the end- an end to the reign of humankind on this holy planet.

Interestingly, according to the Bible, the moon will turn red when the end of time is fast approaching.

The Bible says:

"The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood before the great and dreadful day of the LORD comes."

The way this is described, it can be construed as the occurrence of both a lunar and a solar eclipse.

Mark Blitz and John Hagee have related this Biblical prophecy and have subsequently constructed the Blood Moon Prophecy. So, coming to the specifics, what does the Blood Moon prophecy actually denote?

In the 21st century, 8 tetrads are poised to take place. But astrologers and religious scholars have spoken elaborately only on this particular tetrad. Why is this so, we may ask? The auspiciousness of this tetrad is the coincidence with two important Jewish festivals - Tabernacles and Passover.

Now, here is a fact that will blow your mind. The Jewish Calender is a lunar calender. Also, none of the lunar eclipses that form part of the tetrad can be witnessed from Israel barring the last one. This seemingly evident coincidence sends shrills down your spine, doesn't it? The relevance cannot be more obvious.

Moving on, as mentioned earlier, there are due to occur 8 tetrads in this 21st century. If you go back in time and dig out the occurrences of tetrads that coincided with the Jewish festivals, there have been just8 - from 1AD till this date. Quite a coincidence, isn't it?

Although the coincidences are entrenched, we really don't know why the term Blood Moon has been used. It remains to be seen if the blood moon will actually spell the end of times.
