The First Principle

The truth cannot be told.

Once an amateur enquired a Zen master, " Master, what is the first principle?" The Master replied without hesitation, " If I were to tell you, it will become the second principle?"

The truth or the first principle cannot be said as it is before and beyond the mind, leave alone words.
