Enlightenment happens in an ungaurded moment though the process is long and arduous. Once the Zen master, Banzan walked the street of a market where he happened to hear the conversation of a butcher with his customer.
The customer remarked, "I want the best meat, so give me the best"
The butcher replied "Everything in my shop is the best; you will not find even a single piece of meat that is not the best"
Hearing this Banzan became enlightened.
