Tips To Handle An Abusive Relationship

Talk out – If your relationship is getting abusive either mentally, physically or both, you must talk about it to your partner. There might be a possibility that your partner is not aware that his or her behavior is getting abusive towards you. There might be reasons for the abusive behavior. Try to communicate with your partner about your feelings. Before you completely let go of an abusive relationship, see if there is any scope to improve the situation.

Give an ultimatum –
If your partner continues to abuse you even after communicating your feelings to your partner, you must give a final ultimatum to them. If your partner continues to hurt you and your emotions, it clearly states that the love and respect between you is gone.

Revive or reject – You must either revive your relationship or make it correct again or you must reject the relationship altogether. Leave your partner at once without any second thoughts. If you love him too much to leave him then you may try your best to induce the same feelings in him for you. This might be your only chance to make things right.

Move on – It is easier said than done, but an abusive relationship must have an end. It does not make any sense to carry on with a partner who does not have any feelings of respect towards you. You must get practical and let go of an abusive relationship. It is better to move on rather than feeling guilty or blaming yourself. Moving on will help you to relieve yourself from the everyday stress you were going through in your abusive relationship.

Seek help – If you are in an abusive relationship, do not try to hide it from your near and dear ones. If you don't know how to handle the situation, seek help immediately instead of suffering in silence. Anyway, you were never happy in the abusive relationship.
