Ways To Say 'No' To Premarital Lovemaking

We live in a society where having sex before marriage is certainly not acceptable. There are many people who go to the extent of conducting a virginity test to see if they have been involved elsewhere.

This is a pretty common notion in the society. Besides, there are times when the girl or the guy involved in the relationship doesn’t want to take that step to indulge in lovemaking before marriage. It could be because they want to save themselves for their marriage or because they genuinely don’t want to indulge in it.

Ways To Say 'No' To Premarital Lovemaking

There are some who are not bound by the restrictions set in the face by premarital lovemaking. They feel it is a part of life, and are genuinely fine with it. Either they have indulged in it, or they have become non-judgmental on this issue.

SIGNS YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS HEALTHY

Whatever the reason is, premarital lovemaking now has different opinions about it. Which is the best possible opinion, no one really knows.

If you don’t want to indulge in it, here are ways in which you can say no to the whole thing.

Define the Reason for yourself
You don’t want to indulge in premarital sex which is fine, but you will need to know why. It is only when you know the reason, you can be firm on that stand. You should have a firm reason for not wanting to indulge in premarital sex. Any ambiguous reason ranging from religion to 'I don’t know' will not really help you put your foot down. So before you even begin the process of saying no, consider why you want to say no to premarital lovemaking.

Consider Communicating your Decision to your Significant Other
Once you have made up your mind, and have got the best possible reason to offer, you should consider telling your significant other that you don’t want to indulge in premarital sex. Tips before marriage tell you to be frank and open with your significant other. The more often you tend to communicate with them, the better it will be for your relationship. It is important to tell him/her, why you don’t wish to indulge; what you feel about sex before marriage, and try explaining the reasons.

Communicate Boundaries for the Relationship
It is important that both you and your significant other are aware of the boundaries you have respectively defined for the relationship. Communicate these boundaries and be a little firm on them. It will need communication and firmness from your end to ensure that your significant other respects the boundaries you have created for them.

Ignore the Peer Pressure
Very often peer pressure defines the way you want to lead your life. Even when you don’t want to indulge in premarital sex, you often get into it because your peers have been commanding your life. They feel it is nothing, and having sex before marriage has become a common thing. Hearing the sentence, “You will be the last virgin alive”, leaves a scar on your mind. Well, if it does, ignore! Don’t find ways to doubt yourself, and move away from your decision. It should be your decision alone, and not that of your significant other or your peers.
