Having an office affair is not a surprising thing anymore. It is very common to hear rumours about colleagues' affairs nowadays. But as the professionalism is reaching its peaks now, your affair can attribute to a disaster in your professional life.

If you are having an affair with your colleague, both of you can be considered lenient with your work. Your bosses might see you as love birds, who have nothing to do with work but each other. Then what is the way out to have both; your professional and personal lives on the right track.

How To Hide An Office Affair?

Yes, there are ways that can keep you away from all unnecessary issues and you can hide your affair from everyone else. Let's have a look on what you should avoid when having an office affair and want to keep it a secret.

Least interaction in the office: Talk as less as possible with each other at work. Keep it professional; talk when it is needed officially. If necessary, send messages on mobile phone. Avoid using office phone.

Be professional: Your work should be the first priority in the office. Maintain the decorum at work; avoid intimate conversations and touching each other at office. You might be unaware, but there are many eyes on you all the time especially when you are young.

No meetings at workplace: If you want to meet each other, decide on time and places to meet. Meet at the places which are far from your office and where there are least or no expectations of someone to come from office.

Never leave office on the same time: If you two leave together, it will definitely raise the suspicion in your colleagues' minds. So better avoid it. Although going from the same place in the same direction, travel separately to avoid problems.

No public display of affection: Remember, if you are not able to control your emotions and showing it every now and then, you are actually giving a way for gossips about you and your partner. So the key is; no hugs, no kisses and no lingering look at all.

Avoid using office computers for mails: Most companies keep a track of all emails reciprocated among employees. So don't use your office computer for sending mails to each other. Sometimes there are colleagues who keep an eye on your screen also, which can be very risky for you.

Keep it to yourself: You might have very close friends in the office but never disclose it to any of them. Don't forget the fact that they are your colleagues more and in the future, things can become bad between you and it might end up in a dirty manner.
