Handle Relationships In Cyberspace

Secret love affairs are a thing of the past. With the advent of social media and networking sites, you can no longer keep your relationship status under the wraps. All relationships are now in cyberspace. When you end a relationship with someone, it becomes a notification for your friends. When you get engaged, you are forced to receive congratulations from the whole world and its brother. All these are side effects of your relationships being out in the cyberspace.

Since you can hardly expect any privacy regarding your relationship status, you need to be very watchful. Uses these tips to handle your relationships in the cyberspace smartly.

Cyberspace

No Public Display Of Affection

Do not send hugs and kisses to your partner on social networking sites. Also, do not post suggestive status messages. If you feel that your wife or girlfriend is the most special woman in your life, then say it to them personally. Why you want 10 unconcerned people to come and 'like' the fact that you cherish your wife!

Don't Tag Unnecessarily

If you are posting a picture of yourself and partner, do you really need to tag your office boy in the post? Tagging is strictly speaking for the people who are there in the photo or may be interested in the photo.

Think Before Changing Relationship Status

Just because your boyfriend proposed to you with a ring, you don't need to change your relationship status to 'engaged' immediately. What if your parents don't agree or some other untoward event occurs? You will have to explain the 'engaged' to 'single' change to so many people on your friend list. And it will include distant people like your high school teacher too.

At The End Of A Relationship

It is best to keep any casual relationship of the cyberspace. But if you were in a serious relationship and then decide to part way, then end your relationship online gracefully. Don't attack each other publicly. Change your relationship status and disappear from the social network for at least a month. People have short memory span; they will forget.

Moving On

When you are ready to face the world of social media after the end of a relationship, come back with a mission. Wipe your ex out of your cyberspace. Block him or her from all your social media accounts and delete any pictures that you had together.

These tips can help you deal with your relationship in the cyberspace with renewed maturity. Have you faced any embarrassment due to your relationships being public online?
