  • Your toddler needs up to 1500 calories in a day. This increases substantially if you have a very active toddler who not only walks but also runs. Feeding ghee to your toddler is the easiest way to make sure that there is no calorie deficit.
  • 30 to 35 percent of the calories that your baby requires must come from fats daily. Now your toddler's diet obviously doesn't contain any oily food. You child may still be on formula food. But ghee added to rice or rotis can make up the 30 percent of fats that your toddler requires every day.
  • After you stop breastfeeding, your toddler usually starts losing weight. This is because toddler's do not get the regular dose of fats from breast milk anymore. So introducing ghee in your toddler's diet may be a great way to maintain their fluffy baby weight.
  • Apart from food, ghee has other uses for your toddler. Ghee warmed with garlic is a very good home remedy for cold and cough. Massage warm ghee on your toddler's chest to get rid of congestion. Toddlers should not be given very strong medications. That is why this home remedy using ghee is extremely beneficial.
