Pregnancy is the most beautiful period in one's life! If you are pregnant, there's this obvious joy in your heart of having that baby. You talk endlessly with your baby. But, while there's joy, there is also that morning sickness that takes a toll on pregnant mothers. Nausea, early into the mornings, is not a new thing associated with pregnancy.

Nausea is in fact a good sign; it means your pregnancy hormone levels are high allowing your baby to grow. While you are pregnant, your body releases the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin). When your placenta controls the body maintenance, hCG levels drop and your nausea will ease. The morning sickness, as it is known, lasts for about 12 to 14 weeks of your pregnancy. During this time, you would feel like vomiting over and over again. You might even vomit a lot many times in the day.

Other hormones like oestrogen and thyroxine also affect you while you are pregnant and cause nausea. There are ways to fight the morning sickness. It may actually control you but a proper rest and negating a few things from your diet can prove to be good for you. Let's see how to fight extreme morning sickness observed during pregnancy.

When you are pregnant you should ideally rest more. It works well for you and your baby. You should sleep during the day as well. You could take an eye patch to block the sun's rays from your eyes. A maternity pillow will provide your back and neck good rest. You could possibly use that. You should consider resting well after your food and into the night. Don't take stress which will disturb your sleep patterns.

You have a habit of getting up with a start. Well, you would need to avoid that during your pregnancy. Give your body enough time to move and wake up. Let it get up with ample support. You have a baby inside you. Make sure no jerks are felt by the baby. This can help ease the feelings of nausea caused by extreme morning sickness.

Another remedy to fight extreme morning sickness is avoiding caffeine. Caffeine might prove to be bad for your health. You should also avoid having fatty or spicy foods that can prove to be bad for your health. Have small portions of healthy food that suits you. At this time, you might not like the smell of some foods. Avoid them! Have healthy foods that are rich in nutrients. Don't allow your stomach to be empty for long hours. Acid accumulation can also cause discomfort.

Morning sickness can actually make you tired and you may not want to move around. You would feel like resting on bed all the while. But, a little movement is necessary. A good lot of physical activity keeps you moving and helps improve the symptoms of morning sickness. This is another tip to keep in mind to fight extreme morning sickness.

Some of you may be facing nausea whenever the computer screen flickers. If that's the case, you should try to avoid using the computer completely. But, if you have to use it, make sure you zoom in, make the fonts large and keep the screen at length from your eye. This would help ease the symptoms of extreme morning sickness.

Ginger is a natural remedy that helps fight sever morning sickness. Ginger is an ultimate stomach soother which helps relieve issues related to nausea. You can sip on cold ginger ale, smell ginger or have ginger in some form. During pregnancy make sure you have as much fluid as you can. You may not be able to consume water as you should due to morning sickness but being dehydrated can worsen the issue. So, have as much water as you can.
