Tips For Eating Regularly During Pregnancy

Eating during pregnancy is much more than just getting all the nutrients into your body. What you actually need is to eat at the right times when you are pregnant. Eating during pregnancy has to be regular and intermittent. There are 2 main reasons for eating at small intervals during pregnancy. Firstly, your digestive system becomes slow when you are pregnant. And at later stages of pregnancy, your uterus pushes up against the stomach and thus you cannot eat a full meal at once.

For moms-to-be who are staying at home, eating right during pregnancy does not cause too much worry. But pregnant working women face a lot of problems in eating at regular intervals. The key to eating regularly when you are out of home is to carry the right pregnancy foods with you.

Eating Pregnancy

Here are some of the pregnancy foods that can help you eat at regular intervals when you are travelling or at work.

Carry Fruits
Fruits are your best friends during pregnancy. Carry 2-3 different types of fruits with you when you go to office. Fruits like apples, bananas and pears can be eaten on the go. They can be eaten whole without cutting into pieces. Besides, suits give you loads of essential nutrients.

Citrus Fruits Must Be Uncut
Some fruits like lime and pineapples need cutting before they can be eaten. It is always advisable to have freshly cut fruits. So do not carry chopped fruits in a container. Carry a small penknife to chop them when necessary. This is especially true for citrus fruits.

Have Juices
If you are not carrying anything and need to grab a quick bite, then opt for juices. Fruit and vegetable juices are filling. They are easily available and supply your body with plenty of fluids.

Drink A Glass Water Every Hour
Always remember to drink a glass of water on a hourly basis when you are working or travelling. This ensures that your body stays hydrated.

Dry Fruits
Dry fruits are energy-rich foods to snack on. They are easy to carry because they are compact and dry. Besides, dry fruits are easy to pop into your mouth even as you are busy working.

Glucose Biscuits
Pregnant women need to beware that their blood glucose levels can fall if they do not eat for a long time. It is always handy to carry a few glucose biscuits with you. You can munch on them whenever you feel tired.

Have Milkshakes
If you want a meal that is filling and sumptuous, order milkshakes at cafes. Milkshakes give you proteins and calcium from milk along with the vitamins from the fruits. They are healthy pregnancy foods.

You can be eating right during your pregnancy only if you are a little watchful. This advise is specifically applicable to pregnant working women.
