Motherhood is a beautiful experience. The only part we would like to change is is the actual process of giving birth! Most women desire a child but dread the prospect of going through labour pain. However, it is a fact of life that vaginal childbirth is often the best for the baby and the mother. And to have a vaginal childbirth, you have to go through labour pain.

However, some exercises for easy birth may reduce the intensity of your pain. Did you know that some women are in labour for around 8 to 10 hours? Squats

Earlier, when women gave birth at home with the help of midwives, they were asked to squat in order to make the passage of the baby easy. Although it is a very crude sitting position, squatting is ideal for pregnant women to strengthen their pelvic and thigh muscles. Squatting also helps to open up your pelvis and vagina. This will loosen up your muscles and prepare for giving birth. This prenatal exercise for easy birth should be done by keeping your hands straight in front of you for support.

Kegel Exercises

There are many benefits of doing Kegel exercises. A shorter labour is just one of them. These simple exercises also help to avoid hemorrhoids and blood clots. This is basically a muscular exercise. You have pull in your vaginal and rectum muscles, hold for a few seconds and then release it again. Kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic floor muscles that helps to push the baby during labour. It also increases bladder control capacities.

Pelvic Twist

Get on all fours on a floor mat. Keep both your elbows together and support your weight. Now pull in your anal muscles, hold it for a few seconds and release. This helps to ease the terrible back pains you are prone to during pregnancy. It also helps to increase blood flow to your lower pelvic region and that is good for your baby. This exercise strengthens your pelvic muscles and you can use that strength while pushing your baby.

These are 3 common exercises for easy birth. You must walk regularly during your pregnancy. This helps to keep your blood circulation healthy and avoids muscular cramps.
