Chronic Pains

Chronic Pains During Pregnancy

Backache
Backache and pregnancy are almost synonymous with each other. Backache gets more severe during the later stages of pregnancy. The growing weight in your tummy puts extra pressure on your back. So as the months proceed, chronic pains in your back will make sleeping very difficult.

Headaches
You might experience some headaches in your first trimester. These headaches are particularly common during the late afternoons when your sugar levels are low. The best way to cure these headaches is to have something sweet and then rest for a while.

Leg Pain
One of the worst chronic pains during pregnancy happens in your legs. The initial cramps will be due to nerves getting pressed. Then the increased weight of the body will put pressure on your leg muscles and make them sore. Leg pains persistently trouble pregnancy women throughout their carrying period.

Foot Pain
Swelling of feet is very common during pregnancy. Feet usually swell up due to excess water retention in the body and also sluggish blood circulation in the lower half of the body during pregnancy. Foot pain can actually restrict your movement and force you take bed rest.

Abdominal Cramps
Abdominal cramps are very common during the first trimester of pregnancy. They are usually called implantation pains. But even later on, as the uterus stretches to its limits, you may experience some severe pains in the abdomen.

These are some of the chronic pains during pregnancy that may bother you. Have you suffered from any other persistent pain during your pregnancy?
