1. It is best to wear flat slippers/shoes during pregnancy. They are comfortable and makes it easy to walk.
2. For the first 2-3 weeks, you can wear high heels but when the baby bump starts building up, avoid wearing high heels.
3. High heels can lead to ankle pain and even leg muscles pain, if worn for a long duration. According to researchers, high heels pose no danger to the baby but can lead to muscle sprain due to the stretching of leg and feet muscles.
4. High heels can lead to hip injury, pulled muscle and back pain. This is mainly because the joints of the pregnant woman starts to loosen to prepare for childbirth.
5. Platform heels can be worn and is a preferred footwear choice for pregnant women. It is easy to control body balance in platform heels and they are stylish too!
6. Small heels can be worn depending on the comfort level of the pregnant woman. Sandals with little heels can enhance the body posture and improve the shape of the back.
7. Ballet shoes are great footwear for pregnant women. These shoes are trendy too! They are flat and can be worn with jeans, pajamas and even salwars.
8. Avoid flip flop slippers during pregnancy. Footwear especially rubber slippers can be risky during pregnancy. Rubber slips in water and can be harmful for the expecting mother.
