Gassy Foods To Avoid During Breastfeeding
At the time of breastfeeding, the new mother should avoid certain types of foods which is not good for the baby to consume. In the list of foods a new mother consumes on a daily diet, gas producing foods should be avoided at any cost.
A newborn baby gets all its nutrients from the milk from the mother. If the mother consumes gas causing foods, the newborn's stomach will tend to bloat and cause other digestion problems. IN EARLY PREGNANCY? AVOID THESE FOODS!
Though these gas producing foods might be healthy for you to consume post child birth, you should avoid it at any cost.

Radish
One of the most common vegetables which produce a lot of gas in the stomach is radish. If you are breastfeeding your newborn, stay away from consuming radish.
Cabbage
This is yet another vegetable which produces a lot of gas in the body. However, cabbage helps to increase the milk production. Therefore, it is advisable to consume cabbage 4 hours before you feed your newborn so that the gas in the stomach has subsided.
Cauliflower
Cauliflower is another gas producing vegetable which you need to keep away at the time of breastfeeding. More than radish and cabbage, this veggie will lead to an irritable baby.
Broccoli
Belonging to the same family of cabbage and cauliflower, broccoli is a bitter vegetable which is to be avoided at the time of breastfeeding. The reason being: your milk will taste bitter and will also produce a moderate amount of gas in your newborn.
Brussels sprouts
Sprouts need to be cooked/ boiled well before you consume it, otherwise it will lead to gas in the stomach. All types of sprouts should be avoided during breastfeeding, especially Brussels sprouts.
Bell Peppers
It is best to avoid bell peppers and other spicy ingredients in your diet while breastfeeding.
Beans
Another foods to avoid during breastfeeding, is beans. Beans in any form will create hurdles of gas in the tummy which will make your newborn uncomfortable.
Potatoes
Though it is a moderate gas producing food, it is best to avoid during breastfeeding. On one hand, if you consume potatoes with the skin, it is limit the moderate to mild!
