CONVERT ANY ROOM INTO A STUDY

How To Teach Your Child To Read

1) Read a good book to them on a daily basis. This is extremely important as kids pick up the finer nuances of the language from the parents by listening to them. Hence make sure to read to them every day.

2) When you read stories to them, make sure you question them. Try asking them what they think the book would be about, looking at the cover picture, and what have they inferred from the story and likewise. This will not only help them speed up their reading and communication skills, but will also help them have opinions of their own from a young age.

3) Teaching them to read alphabets is a very important part of the entire learning process. Help them learn the same by asking them to read the letters in a sing-song way. This is one way to teach your child to read as they will never forget it because of the tunes. Also, make sure to ask them to draw the letters too, so that the entire process becomes fun.

4) Here's another tip to teach your child to read: hand them over a little library, and stack in them some good story books. This way they can always pick up the one they like, and would always be occupied.

5) Another effective way to teach your child to read at home is to attach a label to most of the things at home. This ways they'll be constantly looking at the letters in the words and trying to read what they mean.

6) To imbibe a habit of reading from an early age, let them make sure they find you reading something every single day. This is the most important tip in teaching your child to read.

Have a happy teaching time and make sure your child enjoys the entire process of reading and learning new things.
