Hyperactive children need rules they clearly understand so maintain an eye to eye contact while clearly stating to your child how you expect him to behave. Make your child repeat what you tell him, thereby making sure that he gets you clearly.

Managing Erratic Daily Routine
Hyperactive children need proper organization as they are always on the go. So if after brushing teeth before bedtime your child starts to play around with his pet or starts to jump on the sofa, it is about time you organized his schedule.

While designing your child’s time table, make sure his day is full of useful activities and also gives him enough time to take nap. Also, make sure your child sticks to his time table. Then only will your child gradually fall into the habit of a proper daily routine and no spare time will remain for your child to bring out his hyper side.

Teach Self Control
Another important way to handle a hyperactive child is by indulging him in activities that give him enough scope for burning out energy whilst teaching him the art of self control. Swimming, dance lessons or yoga exercises can greatly benefit in developing self control in your child.
