Attention Problems Of Kids In Academics

Attention Problems For Kids
Are you wondering what caused the lower high school test scores for your kid? There is a strong link between problems early in school — as early as kindergarten — and lower high school test scores. Do you want to unravel this mystery?

Child's inability to pay attention when they start school had the strongest negative effect on how they performed at the end of high school. This problem pesters the kids regardless of their IQ. The aggressive, inattentive and depressive behaviours of children in the early school days negatively affect their later performance on standardized high school achievement tests.

As a solution addressing attention problems early in life could keep some children from entering "a downward spiral of failure." Inattentiveness in kindergarten was the only behaviour that consistently predicted lower scores on reading and math achievement tests administered more than a decade later. Early attention problems predict poor performance later in math and reading.
