Well, according to experts, using essential oil during pregnancy is extremely safe and, in fact, it has its own benefits for the skin.

However, as per experts, you should not use essential oil during the first trimester of the baby's development, but you can use it in the second trimester.

So, check out the benefits of using essential oil during the second trimester of pregnancy and so on.

1. Helps To Relieve Heartburn
One biggest concern in a pregnant woman is heartburn and indigestion. It happens due to the loss of appetite and uneasiness that a woman faces during pregnancy. However, in order to relieve heartburn and maintain a proper digestion in the pregnant mommies, they could choose to use ginger, peppermint or fennel essential oil.

However, you will need to tolerate the essential oil on the tongue, as it will relieve nausea. One more idea to use peppermint essential oil is, it can be added to milk (2-3 drops) and consumed on alternate days.

Morning sickness is one of the biggest problems that a pregnant woman may suffer from in all the nine months of pregnancy. Take some sandalwood, lavender and ginger oil and dilute it with coconut water. Now massage with this mixture on your abdomen.

You can also add 2-3 drops of fennel, ginger or lemon with honey and rub it at the bottom of your feet. You can also use some peppermint oil or grapefruit essential oil, as it will help to wake you up early in the morning.

The blend of any five essential oils such as wintergreen, helichrysum, basil, peppermint, German chamomile grapefruit, cypress, camphor, marjoram, and osmanthus can be used to treat body and leg pain.

Take lavender and clary sage oils and take two spoons of bath salt, so that it can help calm down the labour pain. You can mix 2 drops of the blend of the essential oils for pregnant moms of clary sage, lavender, bergamot, Roman chamomile, cedarwood, ylang-ylang, fennel, carrot seed, geranium, palmarosa and vitex in 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil.

Then, massage with this mixture on your hips and massage your bottom of the feet and abdomen. This will allow enhancing the uterine contraction.
