Many women might be surprised to know that there are many steps to confirm your pregnancy. The home pregnancy test kit is only the beginning that checks the levels of HCG hormone in the blood. It is more or less accurate but doctors still rely on a series of pathological steps to confirm a pregnancy. HCG is a pregnancy hormone that is present in a woman's body only when the foetus exists.
