Baby Sleep Timing Strategies For New Moms

Set A Time: Often, new moms make their baby sleep almost whole day. It is not necessary to make the baby sleep all the time you breastfeed in order to finish your household chores. Set a time. This will make the baby get adjusted to those sleep timings. For example, if you make your baby sleep every day for an hour or two after feeding lunch, then it will gradually become a habit for the child to sleep after lunch.

Wake Him/Her Up: This is a strategy which is more applicable to the newborns. As the newborn baby still feels inside the womb, they would always fall asleep. A new mother would now like to wake up her sleeping baby. However, you need to feed every hour or two, so try subtle ways to wake up your baby.

Fun Activities: Indulging in some fun filled activities with your baby is the key to balancing the sleep timings of your child. Play with your baby whenever he or she feels sleepy. You can also divert their mind by taking them out for a walk. This will prevent them from sleeping much in the day time.

Set The Mood: When you want your baby to sleep, set up the perfect mood. Darken the room and you too lie down on the bed. This will make the baby think that it is sleep time for everyone. Do not talk at all or he/she will get up.

Try these strategies to adjust baby sleep timings. Do you have more ideas to add to the list?
